SWEET, SWEET JESUS

Sweet, sweet Jesus, how I cherish Your Presence
And bask in Your radiance as I come in reverence
To bow at Your throne.

You are my Strength when mine is all gone.
You are my Friend when I’m all alone.
You are my Guide when the way is not clear.
You are my Peace, dispelling my fear.

Sweet, sweet Jesus, how I depend on Your faithfulness
And delight in Your robe of righteousness,
Exchanged for my rags.

You are my Comforter whenever I grieve,
You are my Truth when Satan would deceive.
You are the Source of all heavenly Wisdom,
You are the only Way into God’s Kingdom.

Sweet, sweet Jesus, how I cling to Your cross,
Knowing without it all would be lost,
All men forever undone.
