Why-Part 1

“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise to return, as some people may think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so he is giving more time for everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and everything in them will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to judgment. Since everything around us it going to melt away, what holy, godly lives you should be living!” 2 Peter 3:9-11

Why do we choose to ignore the very thing that we know will make us wise?

Why do we choose to feed our flesh instead of feeding our souls?

Why do we allow the busyness of our lives to take precedence over Christ?

Why do we try and build on the foundation of Christ using worldly materials?

Why do we kill our witness by posting one thing about God and then post pictures of us drinking in the next?

Why is it that when someone holds us accountable we assume they are hypocrites?

Why do we get angry at God when death, sickness, and tragedy strike?

Why do we only preach what people want to hear?

Why do we use God?

Prayer: Lord move each of us to the place of action, boldness, and selflessness. Lord it is time we stop asking why and start acting. Lord take us to the place of battle and equip us with Your word. Amen
