28 Warning Signs

When you come to the realization that your feelings have way more control than they should, it brings a sense of urgency to make some changes.

Some of the warning signs your feelings are in control.

1. Your moody

2. Your fickle-EXTREMELY fickle

3. You let your emotions do the speaking

4. Your irritable

5. Your short tempered

6. Your easily angered

7. You can love on your family one minute and be a bear the next

8. You lack mercy

9. You show too much mercy

10. You hold on to past wrongs, waaaaayyyyyyyyyy toooooooooo loooooooooooooooong!

11. Your constantly up and down

12. You beat yourself up

13. You are too over confident

14. You buy on impulse

15. Your eating habits are poor

16. You become lazy

17. You over commit yourself

18. Your husband walks on egg shells

19. Your husband is confused

20. Your husband wonders if you're bi polar :)

21. You question your sanity

22. You question God's promises

23. You doubt your salvation

24. You have trust issues

25. You frequently ask God where He is

26. You read only the passages in the Bible that make you feel good or give you ammo.

27. You justify your actions

28. You feed your flesh

and the warning signs go on and on and on.

So how does one gain back control? By giving up complete control, and not to your feelings, but to God.

You run to the foot of the Cross, fall flat on your face, confess your absolute need for Jesus, relinquish all control, and ask Him to transform your way of thinking, which in return will begin to change the way you feel. Will your selfish feelings go away, probably not, but they will begin to lessen as you trust God.

You have the choice every second to choose who you will allow to be in control, your feelings or the Holy Spirit.

It's not going to be easy, but it is possible and you are able to overcome them. Remember, one of Satan's greatest accomplishments is getting a stronghold on our weaknesses, and for some, our greatest weakness is our feelings.

When we wrap ourselves in God's truth, and I mean literally bathing ourselves in His Word, we will begin to see a change take place.

A very needed change!

We have to start believing God's promises and stop believing and listening to the world.

We also have to know the difference between the Holy Spirit's leading and teaching verse our feelings. Let God give you discernment in this area, pray for wisdom to know the difference.

If you struggle with your thoughts and feelings, start writing out and speaking God's promises over yourself and do it daily. Find an accountability partner who will pray for you, encourage you,  keep you accountable, and speak truth into you.

"We all make many mistakes, but those who control their tongues can also control themselves in every other way." James 3:2

Boast Not of Yourself but of Christ

S-To Boast

S-"So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law." Galatians 5:1

A-God's Grace and Freedom Through Christ

L-Boast Only In...

"As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died." Galatians 6:14

To Boast

1. To glorify oneself in speech; talk in a self-admiring way.
2. To speak with excessive pride.
3. A source of pride

To boast of our self, does nothing for us, other than reveal our pride, insecurity, our need for attention, and our interest in the things of this world.

We need to take on the same attitude and mind set of Paul.

How do we do that?

1. By understanding we are nothing without Christ.
2. By crucifying and nailing our interest in the world to the Cross.
3. By understanding the significance and power of the Cross, and what Christ did on that Cross for us.

When we focus on those three things, the things of this world that interest us, will fail in comparison.

Brethren, lets be careful not to boast so much that we fail to point others to Christ.

S-Every time that tendency to boast about yourself arises, stop and ask the Lord to help you crucify those thoughts. Then use that opportunity to boast about the cross and Christ.

All My Love Sealed in Blood!

But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him.” Psalm 103:17

What an amazing week it has been learning how loved we are. The greatest part about the stories Christ shared with us, is that today He is alive and well and sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. He is active and involved in the lives of 7 billion people of whom He absolutely loves and adores. He sits right next to us pouring out His love and mercy. He does it individually, with complete intimacy, and has all the time in the world for us. I pray and hope your heart has been filled with His love. And I hope you have a new perspective on what it is like to be truly loved. In case you don’t, I have a few more love letters for you.

Dear __________ ,

Please never forget the good things I have done for you. I forgive all your sins. I heal all your diseases, and I ransomed you from death. I surround you with love and tender mercies and fill your life with good things. Your youth is renewed like the eagles! I give you righteousness and justice when treated unfairly. I revealed My character to Moses and My deeds to the people of Israel. I am merciful and gracious; slow to anger and full of unfailing love. I will not constantly accuse you nor will I remain angry forever. I have not punished you for all your sins, nor have I dealt with you as you deserve. My unfailing love toward those who fear Me is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. I have removed your rebellious acts as far away as the east is from the west. I am a Father to all my children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Me. I understand how weak you are and I know you are only dust. Your days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, you bloom and die. The wind blows, and you are gone as though you have never been here. But My love remains forever with those who fear Me. My salvation extends to the children’s children of whom are faithful to My covenant, and who obey My commandments! I have made the heavens my throne; from there I rule over everything. (Psalm 103)

All my love sealed in blood,

Jesus

No one on the face of the earth is capable of loving you that way. Nor are you able to love that way without Jesus in you. Jesus displayed real genuine love, and is our true “Soul” mate! He is the very one who acts and chooses to love no matter what “He has not punished us for all our sins, nor does he deal with us as we deserve.” Psalm 103:10 “Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone-as though we had never been here. But the love of the Lord remains forever.” His love remains forever!!!!

Jesus thank You for loving us forever! Thank You that You gave us the gift of mercy and grace and that You don’t deal with us as we truly deserve. That is a gift Lord I pray we never take for granted. Father as we carry on about our day, I ask for Your love to fall afresh on the broken hearted, the lost, and those who question if Your love is even real. Teach us and show us what real love is and help us to be loving people. Amen
