We are excited to start the 60 day Insanity: Max 30 program on January 5th! We already have a few amazing ladies joining us for this 60 day challenge, and we have a few more spots available. We are looking for ladies who want to get stronger and healthier with us in 2015! You may not be able to complete the full 30 minutes at a Shaun T speed, but the program is designed to have you start with Shaun T as long as you can, write down that number you hit, and then drop to modify or take a short break.

As with every challenge we do, we will focus on hitting our physical goals by committing our bodies to Christ. This group is going to be small and will fill up quick, so if you want in let us know!

Anticipating the Grade

At the school A attends, they always send home a Summer project. Since A is going into the 3rd grade we knew his project would consist of a little more than just reading some books.

This summer A's assignment was to pick one book out of 4, read it and then write about the main character.

So of course we began the project in July. It is now the day before school starts and his project is due and this is what we came up with.

Of course daddy drew the picture and mama wrote helped with the paper. As we were going over everything, I began to laugh.

It seems every time there is a project due, G and I help A and then wait with anticipation for our grade.

I felt like a school girl again hoping to do well on my project.

Yes, his paper is probably over the top. Yes his teacher will probably realize we did it, but in all honesty when you send homework home, you know your parents are either going to do a majority of it or the child will come back and have not done any of it at all.

I dislike homework with a passion. I honestly disagree with it and yes I use to be a teacher, but I never gave homework. I felt like when those babies went home they should be able to go home, play, and be with their families. And when you think of those precious babies whose home life is harder, why make it even more stressful for them? And as the teacher, why put that stress on yourself. It's one battle I felt was not necessary to fight.

I understand why some of it is sent home, but in reality, our children spend 8 hours a day at school. They should be able to come home and not have to spend two to three more hours doing homework.

Why are they not able to finish their work at school where they have the help they need and the resources available to be successful?

There has to be a balance somewhere, right?

With all that I said, I am sure there will be lots of homework sent home with my boys over the next 10-12 years, and we will sit down and get it done and laugh as we anticipate our grades.

It's a family affair!

This sweet boy got married today. It was the sweetest wedding. (And VERY emotional)

Weldon, we are so proud of the man you have become. You have modeled Christ and lived out His Word in a marvelous way. Not only have you taught and shown Avery and Dax what it means to be a godly young man, but they will now get to see what a Godly husband looks like. 

You are prayed for daily and loved beyond words. We are thrilled to be apart of you and Lily's life. 

Please Slow Down

It seems as though I blinked for just a second and when my eyes opened my babies were grown. 

Today I watched my sweet boy walk up on the stage as a second grader for the very last time to receive his award for being on the A honor roll all year. 

He has grown so much within this last year and my heart begs for time to slow down. 

I can't believe he will be a third grader and this sweet little guy

will be in Kindergarten. Be still time, slow down, you are moving quicker than this mommy's heart can handle.

Jesus prepare my heart for each new season that comes with growing boys. Amen

Its's His Birthday!!

I am beyond blessed to be from this mans rib. He is our greatest joy, our provider, protector, and he brings so much joy to our home. 

Happy Birthday my sweet love. I am so greateful to have spent the last 11 birthdays with you and pray for many more. 

You are my first and greatest love and I am honored to be yours. 

Just This

Jesus You have given me the greatest honor and role here on earth-mommy.

Thank You for the overwhelming amount of joy these babies bring to my life. 

I pray I live in such a way they see You at all times. I pray Your reflection in me leaves them desiring more of You.

May my words and my actions towards Garrett be ones that teach them to desire a woman who is submissive, respectful, kind, loving, encouraging and most of all God fearing. 

May I never take this role for granted. It is a gift from You that can be taken at any time. 

May I never waste time being selfish but selfless so they can learn to live a life just as You did. 

Jesus You gave me the greatest example to follow, my mama and I pray I become half the woman she is today. 

Thank You for the godly example she set for me. She not only taught it but she lives it. 

Jesus continue to teach me Your ways so I can teach them. Amen
