GOD WITH US

Sometimes God takes us down paths we don’t plan,

Often He brings us to hard places we don’t understand,

But He has always been there when we’ve just arrived,

So nothing we face ever takes Him by surprise.

Though storms will surely come, often more than our share,

God guides us through the waters with a father’s gentle care.

Trials and tribulations mark the straight and narrow path,

As we choose daily to follow Him not the way of eternal wrath.

Jesus, with great love and mercy, fully paid our debt for sin,

The Father robes with His Son’s righteousness all who believe in Him.

God knew before he created time and placed man with free will in it,

The hope of our salvation would only in the Lamb’s blood be writ.

He knew us before time, before creation, before the foundation of the universe.

He knows the joys and sorrow in the past, in the now and yet to be birthed,

But His faithfulness is assured, His love guaranteed, His promises very clear,

We need only be still, remember on the cross He conquered death, then never fear.
