Over the last three months my husband, his staff, and athletes have spent everyday working together to become the best they can be, through practice, hard work and discipline.
Though this new year has posed some challenges for our team, they, by the end of district, proved that all of their practice, obedience, and discipline payed off. Thus becoming District Champs.
What was the key? Practice (Everyday)
The athletes put into practice all they had been learning each week, new plays, better stances, where their eyes should be, etc. They also put into practice all they had heard the coaches telling them to do and not to do. They also put into practice all they had seen on film whether on themselves or on the opposing team.
Come game time all their practice would be put to the test. It would be displayed on the field for all to see.
As Christians we are to do the same thing. We are to put into practice all of God's Word. Paul points out three things for us to practice.
1. Practice what we learn.
2. Practice what we hear.
3. Practice what we have seen from God's Word.
We can read God's Word, hear God's Word, even see God's Word being lived out, BUT if we don't put any of it into practice we will not be very successful come witness time. Nor will we reflect Jesus.
So what are some ways you have been putting God's Word into practice?
Jesus help us to spend each day first with You in Your Word, and second putting into practice all You have taught us. So when others observe our lives they will see Your peace within us. Amen
